Important elements of RMG
Rapid mixer granulator is widely used pharma machine. It mixes pharmaceutical ingredients and further turns them into granule before compression. Impellers and choppers perform wet granulation and are hence important elements.
Impellers of rapid mixer granulator are fixed at the bottom of dome shaped stainless steel bowl. There are 2 full length and also 2 half length blades. The design is such that small blades lifts the material and then the full length blade mixes material nicely.
Choppers are especially designed small blades. It rotates at high speed thus giving uniform granulation.
Unloading has to be done from the bottom hence discharge port is located at the bottom of the dome. Granules are thus unloaded from rapid mixer granulator into container from here. Compressed air cylinder operates the opening of the discharge port. RMG are thus indispensable pharma machines
